1844, BRITANNIA: Small envelope from "WEYMOUTH MY 1 1844" to Bermuda, endorsed "pe Halifax Mail", pre-paid with "1/-", arrival Halifax 16th May, put on board of the "Roseway", arrived in Bermuda 28th May, fine

1844, HIBERNIA: Folded letter dated "Malaga 1st April 1844" to Boston, privately carried across the frontier to Gibraltar, there posted on P&P steampship "Great Liverpool" with "GIBRALTAR PAID" handstamp and charged with "2/11", red Boston "SHIP 6" applied upon arrival, fine and scarce rating

1845, CAMBRIA: Folded lettersheet dated "Liverpool 3rd January 1845", with matching black "LIVERPOOL JA 3 1845" on reverse, to Quebec, unpaid as a 2oz letter rated "4/8", charged changed to "5/2½", fine entire with a 10-day inland transit because of difficult winter conditions

1845, HIBERNIA: Folded letter from New York with matching red "NEW-YORK 31 OCT 10 cts." alongside to Paris, after leaving Halifax on 3rd November the "Hibernia" ran aground off Cape Race, Newfoundland and had to go to St John's for repairs. Arrived in Lonton 19th of November with "COLONIES &c Art 12" struck, charged with "38" decimes in Paris, fine and attractive entire 

1846, CALEDONIA: Folded letter franked with New York Washington 5c. black "ACM", touched at lower right, to Lyon, France. Endorsed "p Str. Caledonia", red "COLONIES & ART 13" and "NEW YORK PAID" alongside, charged "20" decimes upon arrival, fine, certificate PF (1976)

1846, CAMBRIA: Folded lettersheet with red "PAID AT LIVERPOOL AP 18 1846" to New York, paid "1/-", the ship beached, subsequently re-floated, upon arrival charged "7" cent., fine

1846, UNICORN: Last Transatlantic voyage, folded lettersheet endorsed "p. Unicorn Str." to Washington, red "LONDON PAID SHIP LETTER 18 MR 1846" struck alongside, with manuscript "8" prepaid rating and blue manuscript "12" due rating, very fine and scarce entire of this last transatlantic voyage before sale in Halifax
