York/May 20" c.d.s. below, very fine appearance; an extremely rare usage, every aspect of which was to expedite speedy service by use of the private carrier service in New York and the railway U.S. Express service between New York and Boston, docketing specifying that $100.00 was enclosed gives the reason for this extraordinary service; this local is one of the very few local issues listed by Scott as known used with the 5c 1847 Issue but unpriced; signed by William O.
