307 ogO S.G. #1/150a, D1-12, Attractive largely mint collection consisting of over 150 mostly different with shades, the name of this area changed several times so the issues of East Africa and Uganda Protectorates and Kenya and Uganda are found as well Kenya, Uganda and Tanganyika, only a very few used are found but includes a rather attractive appearing 20R Grey and stone (S.G. #15; crease) with Mombasa postal cancel, quite comprehensive for most issues less the numerous high denominations of this country, includes postage dues complete including blocks of four of the 1935 issue, o.g. or used, occasional flaw will be found, but overall fine-very fine and a nice collection upon which to build (Scott East Africa and Uganda Protectorates #1/62, Kenya, Uganda and Tanganyika #1/85, J1-12). 316 ogOblc S.G. #1/163, O1/27, Specialized collection balance of several hundred items, with most of the issues present both mint and used, plus there are blocks, varieties and covers to be found, for example the first overprint issue is complete both mint and used, plus mint blocks to the 1R value, also unlisted inverted overprints, all of the later issues were also collected in similarly specialized fashion, covers include a 1936 registered cover to Switzerland, one with India stamps tied by violet Kuwait censor marking, and several from the 1950's with scarce cancellations or postal markings (postage due, etc.), mint are o.g., many n.h., generally fine-very fine; a wonderful collection on which to build a truly specialized collection of this elusive colony.
