1060 EDU 425e image#425e, 2c Rose red, Ty. I, booklet pane of six, a single from the pane, centered a bit to right, tied to earliest documented usage cover by "Brooklyn, N.Y. Sta. B/Jan 6/1914" machine cancel, choice strike, this locally addressed cover is quite neat as well, very fine; the first day of this stamp is unknown, but it is probably sometime in December of 1913, interestingly the booklet panes were issued prior to the sheet stamps (September 5, 1914), so there is no doubt that this is a booklet pane stamp, and this January 6, 1914 usage is, by far, the earliest documented usage and has withstood the test of time; ex-Fisher.
