925 c 73/319 #73/319, 19th century postal history group of thirteen covers and some other items, almost all of the value lies in the 2c Black Jacks and the 1869 Pictorial issue, the Black Jacks include four covers, one used as a revenue on a check and seven off-cover (one unused) with some better cancels, 1869's include 1c-6c on separate covers (3c with green cancel) and a 12c, plus a couple later items, some better usages and corner cards noted, generally fine-very fine. 926 cF Enormous dealer's cover stock of approximately ten thousand items all neatly housed, categorized, priced and sleeved in 18 pull-out file boxes (typically 500-600 covers per box), the covers are mostly 20th century U.S. and include FDC's (three boxes), naval ship mail (four boxes), space and aviation (one box) and postal stationery, also included are four boxes of foreign covers, while most of the material is comprised of more common items, we do note some Banknote and Bureau Issue covers, some early advertising items, a few 19th Century British Commonwealth covers and an interesting box of Foreign Air Mail (FAM) routed covers (many with mixed frankings), the earlier material will be found in mixed condition, however most of the 20th century items are fine-very fine, careful examination is certainly the key to properly evaluate this large holding; the perfect lot for the internet or bourse dealer to potentially reap a nice return on investment. 935 c 62X3 image#62X3, New Orleans, La., 5c Brown on white, a most remarkable cover bearing one of the largest known frankings of the New Orleans Provisional, consisting of a vertical strip of three (positions 4/12/20) which shows a partial sheet margin imprint at top, a vertical pair (positions 19/11) and a single (position 3), all tied to a buff colored triple rate cover to Richmond, Va. by "New Orleans, La./19 Jun." (1861) c.d.s., addressee is the Hon. Henry Marshall, the Louisiana delegate to the Confederate Congress in Richmond, all stamps with four large margins, extremely fine; one of the premier New Orleans Provisional covers extant, both in terms of condition and size of franking; illustrated in Stanley Ashbrook article on the famous Brooks collection (Stamp Specialist, 1945 Black Book) and signed by Mr. Ashbrook; ex-Knapp, Brown, Brooks, Grant, Weatherly and Kilbourne.
