1251 og/nh The high quality balance of the Floyd collection of 20th century stamps, a single stockbook containing the hundreds of stamps that were not lotted individually, nearly all different and most are singles, although a few multiples and specialized items are noted, the great majority are from 1906 to the 1940's, there are many exceptionally high quality low to medium catalog value items that were acquired by Mr. Floyd on an individual basis, fresh and well centered stamps predominate (although an occasional small flaw will be found), in addition to the more modestly valued items, we note such sets as the 1923-26 Perf. 10 Rotary Press issues, 1929 Kansas-Nebraska issues, 1935 Farley issues in center line or gutter blocks of four, plus the associated souvenir sheets, and there is a small representation of nice quality air posts, special deliveries and postage dues; all with o.g., the great majority are n.h., fine-very fine, with many better; a wonderful basis upon which to build; examination suggested (not illustrated). 1252 nhX 550/893, C7/J88 #550/893, C7/J88, Valuable plate block balance of the Floyd collection, three stockbooks containing over 260 different plate number blocks primarily from the 1920 to 1940 time period (with just a few later such as the 1956 $5.00 Hamilton), very comprehensive for this time period and includes many better plate blocks, a number of which catalog $50.00 to $350.00 (or more), the commemorative plates of this period are very solid, as are the regular issues, later period plates include complete sets of the 1931 Regular issues, 1932 Washington-Bicentennials, 1935 Farley National Parks, the 1938-54 Presidential series and the 1940 Famous Americans, back-of-the-book issues are represented by a nice run of better air post plates of the same period, plus a few special delivery and postage due plates; while there is the occasional minor flaw, the overall condition is well above the norm for such collections, with brilliantly fresh and handsome plate blocks throughout, o.g., all n.h. with only a very few exceptions, vast majority fine-very fine or better (not illustrated). 12,250.00+
