1794 O S.G. #14a imageS.G. #14a, 1876 1/- Yellow green, on vertically laid paper, a magnificent quality used example of this very rare and terribly difficult stamp, being in a condition which places it among the very finest in existence, if not indeed the finest, as this stamp is completely free of the faults which are found on the majority of known examples, and even more impressive is the fact that the stamp's centering is outstanding, without any portion of the design being cut by the perforations (nearly all existing copies have the perforations cutting the design), gorgeous rich color on bright paper, neat central barred oval numeral pmk., very fine; a stamp for the finest collection; signed H. Bloch and accompanied by a 1960 BPA certificate (Scott #13; $3,750.00 for copies with perfs. cutting). (Image) £3,500
