463 nhgraded 578 image#578, 1c Green coil waste, a fabulous quality mint example of a stamp that is incredibly difficult to find in this condition, as most are found tightly margined and poorly centered, this particular copy boasts especially large and perfectly balanced margins all around, plus it is brilliantly fresh with deep luxuriant color, pristine o.g., n.h., superb; a true condition rarity in this gem quality; 2013 PSE certificate (Superb 98; $850.00 for 95, the highest grade that is priced); unpriced in Superb 98 as this is the first and only example that has been given this superlative grade demonstrating the rarity of this coil waste issue; Scott Specialized Values assigns a value of $2,450.00 for 98; the previous highest PSE grade of 95 jumbo, of which there is yet only one so graded, realized $2,000.00 in our December 2006 sale of The Elite Collection; the example offer here is now the finest know example of #578.
