York City auction galleries on Friday, November 20th, 2009.
The Francisco & Edward Acevedo Collection is an interesting and
comprehensive collection of early Puerto Rico postal history, with special
emphasis on the early era from 1789 to 1900. From pre-philatelic postal
routes right up to the Spanish-American War period, the Acevedo collection
contains many rare and desirable covers, cancels and routes.
