3232 image1850: Report Block, 6 cs. black, complete Transfer block of 24 types from plate 1, with marginal surround, original gum, handwritten text by Bartolomê Coromina the engraver on reverse; "Sample taken from the Original Types that exist in the National Stamp Factory, to serve as a comparison. Madrid, June 3 1850, The Director, Bme. Coromina (signed)"; an extremely fresh mint block, vibrant impression providing great clarity of the detail in the engraving of Isabella II, as expected with such a block some creasing, a small tear in top margin and some ink soiling, nothing which is not of the time and in no way detracts from this magnificent item, a unique piece, the only known example, of the utmost historical importance.
