360   ImageMEXICO, 1929, 25c Tejeria-Tapachula Bi-colored Air Post (Sanabria 8-16). Collection of stamps and covers, complete set of unused incl. the rare Brown Carmine & Slate (two), some duplication (a total of thirteen unused stamps, all but one with original gum), two are corner selvage examples, there are six different used stamps, and nine exceptionally desirable covers with these stamps, incl. two with the rare Brown Carmine & Slate (one with Friedl certificate), two of the covers have two different stamps, in addition there is one cover with the key 1928 25c Brown Carmine & Brown (Sanabria 6) tied

LARGELY FINE-VERY FINE. AN AMAZING COLLECTION OF TRULY RARE AIR POSTS STAMPS. THIS COULD FORM THE BASIS OF A GOLD-MEDAL SINGLE FRAME EXHIBIT.

These were actually proofs of the 1928 Issue, but they were sold over the counter at the Post Office. The majority were used on flight covers. Unused examples are actually rarer than used. Only 50 copies of eight of the values were printed. The quantity of Brown Carmine & Slate Green stamps printed is unknown, but almost certainly far less than the others.

Scans of the entire collection can be found on our website (Image)
