Top impression, without gum as issued, affixed to small piece, balanced margins, Very Fine, top impressions are rare with only 48 printed versus 120 carbon copies (plus sheet initialed in red), SG doesn't distinguish between the two types, only sixteen examples are recorded (half of which is a block of eight, ex "Mountrobeck" and Vestey) (Image)

Carbon copy, bottom left corner margin block of six, Plate 1, positions 17-19/21-23, without gum as issued, position 17 showing the shifted "G.R.I." and position 18 with double "L" error that was "corrected" and covered by a heavily struck "O" (as all known examples), various creases which are endemic to this paper, light stains from improper stockbook housing, Fine appearance, of the 120 carbon examples initialed in black, 31 remainders were destroyed, one of the largest multiples recorded and each variety can only have occurred twice (the others in the preceding lot), signed Gibbs, SG value as normal singles (Image)
