2041   ImageJ. S. Burdsal & Co., 1c Black, Orange Wrapper, Silk Paper (RS45b). Three large margins as usually found on all paper types for this issue, paper with deep Orange color, few faults including thin spots, pinhole and small tear

VERY FINE APPEARANCE. THE J. S. BURDSAL & CO. ON ORANGE SILK PAPER IS ONE OF THE GREAT RARITIES OF MEDICINE STAMP COLLECTING. ONLY FIVE ARE RECORDED IN THE CENSUS, AND THIS IS THE FIRST WE HAVE OFFERED SINCE KEEPING COMPUTERIZED RECORDS.

The Aldrich book reports only five examples of this issue. However, the number could be smaller, because some examples of the Yellow silk paper variety, Scott RS45Ab, may be included in Aldrich's count. The latter was only recently listed as a separate Scott number (post-2012).
