The Priester Type D surcharge, which includes this surcharge type, is only listed as existing on the Half-Barrel Brown Orange.

VERY FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 1933 SECOND ISSUE ONE HOGSHEAD BLACK, OF WHICH ONLY FIVE ARE KNOWN.
The earliest reported use of any denomination is December 6, 1933, just two days prior to the date this stamp was used. It is believed that there are two additional copies outside of the Priester census, for a total of five known examples of this rarity.

The Priester census records only five examples, which have several different surcharge types (including Types 226 and 227). A sixth copy with an unlisted surcharge type (known on the -1/4 bbl.) is also recorded.
