VERY FINE APPEARANCE. A SCARCE EXAMPLE OF THE ONE-THIRD BARREL 1933 FIRST ISSUE BEER STAMP.
Only ten are recorded in the Priester census. The example offered in our Tolman sale was rebacked, and is the only other we have offered since keeping computerized records. (Image)
EXTREMELY FINE APPEARANCE. ONE OF TWO RECORDED EXAMPLES OF THE 1933 ONE HOGSHEAD IN BLACK, SCOTT REA158. ONE OF THE RAREST OF ALL REVENUE STAMPS.
The 1933 One Hogshead Black is known without overprint (REA158) and with overprint (REA168). Priester records two examples of the former (REA158) and one of the latter (REA168).

VERY FINE APPEARANCE. THIS IS THE ONLY RECORDED EXAMPLE OF THE QUARTER-BARREL 1933 WITH THE 1918 PROVISIONAL HANDSTAMPED SURCHARGE. ONE OF THE GREAT BEER STAMP RARITIES.
This is the only recorded example of this issue. Undercatalogued in Scott -- other unique Beer Stamps catalogue 5-10 times as much. (Image)
VERY FINE APPEARANCE. THIS IS THE FINER OF THE TWO RECORDED EXAMPLES OF THE QUARTER-BARREL 1933 SURCHARGE ISSUE WITH TYPE A SURCHARGE.
Only two examples of this type are recorded in the Priester census. The other was offered in our 2006 sale of the Tolman collection and is seriously defective.
With 2003 P.F. certificate. (Image)
FINE APPEARANCE. THIS IS ONE OF ONLY TWO RECORDED EXAMPLES OF THE TYPE A SURCHARGE. IT IS ALSO THE EARLIEST REPORTED USE OF ANY STAMP FROM THE 1933 SURCHARGE SERIES WITH THE TYPE A SURCHARGE. A GREAT RARITY.
Ex Ward and Tolman. The other example was also offered in our 2006 Tolman sale, but it has a different type of surcharge which is unlisted in Priester.

VERY FINE. THIS IS ONE OF ONLY TWO RECORDED EXAMPLES OF THE 1933 ONE HOGSHEAD IN BLACK WITH BUREAU SURCHARGE, SCOTT REA168. ONE OF THE RAREST OF ALL REVENUE STAMPS.
The Priester census records only one example, which is likely the one offered in our 2006 Tolman sale. The example offered here was likely unknown to the authors.
