LotNo. Symbol CatNo. Lot Description
4463   imageGermany, An Outstanding Highly Specialized Mainly Mint Never Hinged Collection, Replete with Varieties, A Unique Offering, 1919-1944, Simply a great holding that is a pleasure to view and which will add a new dimension to your collection or inventory. It contains hundreds of mint regular issues, Semi-Postals and Air Posts including the Zeppelins in singles, sets and Souvenir sheets with varieties, errors and multiples galore with the vast majority in never hinged condition and of the highest quality all neatly mounted on SAFE hingeless pages and housed in two boxes. Most items are accompanied by a "tag" which usually notes the Michel number and value and often the purchase price from reliable German dealers or Auctions. The collector's "Eye" for the unusual is quite evident in the make-up of this superior holding with its many valuable, into the hundreds of Euros each, Varieties and Errors from all periods and especially the inflationary era as well as the 1930's and 1940's. Often these scarce issues are difficult to find and demand a high premium in never hinged quality in relation to their Michel values. Viewing the collection in person or the many scans will give you a sense of how much effort, time and expense went into the creation. As mentioned, the quality overall is exceptional with only a few faults. You will note that the N.H. issues from this period also demand large premiums in both the Scott and Michel catalogues and an offer such as this one is a rare find. The Michel value is well over $100,000. A collection well worth careful consideration and an extra bid! Ex-Kaiser. Shipping charges apply - weight 16.6 lbs. Another outstanding feature are the 41 certificates (Attest, Befund or Kuzbefund) that accompany. In addition, there are numerous signed Infla-Berlin or BPP experts on inflation issues. You will note numerous stamps and varieties valued into the many hundreds of Euros each. Rather than spending time annotating each of the many hundreds of highlights we urge you to, if possible, view in-person or study the multitude of scans to fully appreciate how unique and special this collection is. You will find the first issues, inflationary issues, color varieties and much more, plus souvenir sheets, Air Post including all the Zeppelin issues and B.O.B., The total Michel catalogue value easily exceeds $100,000., a few small faults are present but overall, the quality is of a very high standard, Ex-Kaiser.
