499 Ebl 79-E15c image1867, N.B.N.C. grill essay, allover grill of small squares, points up (Scott 79-E15c), on 3¢ lake, imperf pair, gummed (formerly No. 66aP4), block of 4 with imprint in full top selvage, o.g., top pair and bottom right stamp never hinged, bottom left stamp barely hinged, Extremely Fine and extremely rare, The "Biscuit grill", with its pyramid shaped impressions, was applied to the 3¢ 1865 stamps using the first grilling machine in early May 1867 to create the A and C grill stamps (Scott Nos. 79 & 83), with 2021 P.S.E. certificate.
