2045   image19th Century Old-Time Collection - Part 2, 1847-1890, in three Scott National albums. This collector truly possessed the "old time collector" mentality, searching for every variety or shade of each issue. The typical format is the first page will contain the normal stamps, but on subsequent unprinted pages, you might discover dozens of a single stamp with different shades, cancels, proofs or specimens, covers, or whatever may have captured the collectors eye. Unfortunately, as you typically see with old time collections, condition is occasionally sacrificed. Highlights include; 232-33 mint, 238, several Columbians used on cover with interesting 5¢ to 10¢ denominations, 230-32 blocks of four, 235 plate block of six with separated selvage, 236 block of four, 238 block of four, several multiples of different types or shades of 2¢ 1895 issue, quite a few pages of early advertising covers starting with the 1895/1897 issues, 291, 320 mint plate block, 314 mint block of four, several attractive Pan-Pacific postcards, 505 mint error in block of nine, 581-91 mint, 658-79 mint and used sets and 833 first day cover, generally Fine to Very Fine appearance.
