Gaines 37(a).

According to Gaines (page 28A), Inspection Proof Sheets are imperforate full sheets of two panes on gummed paper pulled by hand prior to perforating and trimming (and thus have the emblems and the printer's cutting and perforation marks). Usually, each stamp has a small punch hole. While it is believed that an imperforate proof sheet exists of the final design and color for each UN issue printed by Waterlow, by the time of Gaines death at 58 in 1998 (before the UN Archives were sold), only four had appeared on the market, including the 8c. This is thus the unique top right inscription block of six.
