French Polynesia, A Solid Mint Collection, 1892-1997. A highly desirable mint collection of sets, singles and souvenir sheets, all either neatly mounted on quadrille or lighthouse pages, it includes regular issues, commemoratives, semi-postals, airmails, postage dues and officials and is loaded with the premium sets including the better issues post-1960's plus the key earlier adhesives. Highlights include all mint by Scott 1-20, 21-34, 1915-1926 Surcharges, B2-B6 plus CB1, post 1940 essentially complete with N.H. beginning in the late 1960's and airmails from the early 1970's with some earlier being N.H., Fresh and Fine to Very Fine, a high quality collection of a popular area, high resale value. French Polynesia, "Paradise Found" Sumptuous Mint Collection, 1892-2017, Two hingeless Lighthouse albums housing a collection which is nearly complete from 1952 onwards with such highlights as #18, 72-75, 123, 233-40, 534-37, 560-62, 712a, 718a, 760, 983, B6-10, C21, C24-27, C33, C34-36, C37, C47a, C48, C54, C55-56, C63-67, C77 (2), C78-82, C89-93, C95, C99, C100-04, C112-14, C136a (2), CB1, etc. Some very nice extras too, like a page of Tahiti, deluxe sheets of 352-54, 515, C191, complete sheets of 606-09, 1089, C153, C193, C194-97, C199, imperf varieties of 355-57, 498-500, C17, even imperf gutter pairs of 570 & 574-75. French Polynesia, An Outstanding Complete Mint Collection, 1892-1995. It doesn’t get any better than this complete for the period mint collection collected by a fastidious collector. While we didn’t examine every stamp post 1955 looks N.H. and even from 1892 up much is N.H. with some L.H., all very neatly housed in two albums one with Palo pages and also a Lighthouse hingeless album. A great collection, mainly Very Fine all o.g. and mostly N.H., attractive, fresh without any faults that we could see. The early volume 1 thru 1892-1956 has a Scott value of $2,474 (2023) and the second volume 1958-1995 has a carefully done (owner’s) Scott of $5,346 (2011). Well worth a look.
