2265   imageThe Crazy Vacuum Cleaning Coin Dealing Cover Hoard, US Version, Of approximately 4,000-6,000 19th and 20th Century covers amassed by a recently retired coin dealer who bought the stamps and covers that came with the numismatics from the estates that walked into the shop over many, many decades, this hoard includes first flights including a Willy Ley signed rocket mail cover and 94 Pan American flights in the Pacific (FAM 14 and FAM 19), first days (mostly 1930's and 1940's), about 40 mostly U.S.S. Akron covers, a very interesting binder of newspaper clippings and related ship covers including the NY Times front page article and partial list of survivors (no related Titanic covers), approximately 500 Naval Covers (425 in a shoebox; rest mixed in including a Crosby cacheted Atomic Bomb Test cover), over 100 Antarctic covers, small group of inaugurals back to Hoover, 2 albums and 3 shoeboxes jammed with Space related covers mostly from the 1970's plus 14 STS-8 covers with folders, small group of stampless covers, 2 shoeboxes of classic covers mostly to the same addressee in Brooklyn in the 1850's to 1920's, a used San Francisco earthquake post card with message "Burnt out. Lost everything. Will write as soon as possible." and 6 unused, 3 covers to a Confederate Captain including one stampless with no postal markings but two letters, mixed condition, overall, Fine to Very Fine, although crazy, he was savvy enough to discard the junk before he consigned to us. 2266   image19th Century Covers between the US and Latin America, mostly to and from Cuba but other countries are present, 84 comprising 67 stampless including folded letter datelined Havana 26 Sept. 1801 (no postal markings), then groups of "Ship" and "Steamship" covers - both straightline and integrated into the datestamp, a matched pair of covers with red or black "Forwarded by C. Edmonston & Co. Charleston S.C." large hexagonal handstamps on the reverse, one with blue "Charleston S.C.
