2587   imageFrance & Colonies, "La Boîte Rouge" Used Collection & Mint Stock, 1849-1978, Whatever your preference, mint or used, this lot has it. A homemade collection of used stamps in two albums, the first of which is very neatly laid out and labeled, and with a cut off year of 1939, probably assembled right around the beginning of World War II. The second and third volumes run into the 1960s, but of course, the best material is in the first one, such as #3, 6, 12-13, 17-19, 22-28, 41-42, 47, 64, 66, 89, 96, 102, 253, 348, B12-19, B20-22, B28-30, B40-41, B66-67, C16-17. In addition, a red box crammed with "102" cards filled entirely with mint and plenty of premium material, like 258-62, 264-83, 302, 304, 311-12, 314, 315-20, 342-47, 348, 414, 700-05, B1-2, B3-9, B27, B34, B42-43, B66-67, B294-99, C22, C23-27, C29-32, C34-36, etc. As a bonus, a shoebox filled with mixed mint & used France & Colonies in glassines. First album flipped online as reference, but it would be to your advantage to inspect this red box to fully see how much it has to offer, overall Fine to Very Fine.
