Victoria issues (#96, 108, 113 & 124), all tied by neat "Cresham House/Registered" c.d.s.'s, which appear to year-date 1898; the 2d stamp is affected by a vertical file fold, with the key £1 strip being a gorgeous sight to behold, Very Fine and choice, rare. 154 175b imageGreat Britain, 1915, King George V "Seahorse", De La Rue printing, 10s blue (Scott 175b), two singles with an additional 4s8½d postage tied by partial "Registered/ London E.C./ 5 JU 18/ 60" c.d.s.s on a Registered cover to the "Royal Danish Legation" in Washington D.C.; the cover bears a handstamped Danish Legation in London seal and a large, intact "Regis Danie Legatio Londini" red wax seal on the reverse; the three low values are slightly damaged, otherwise Fine to Very Fine. A very rare high value usage.
SG 412; £1,750 off-cover ($2,260).

During World War I Danish diplomatic mail was forwarded to the Danish Legation in London for reforwarding with British postage by sealed diplomatic pouch. This cover would have been attached, as a mailing label, to such a pouch
