Lesson 4 is in 8 parts, each part individually cut from the lesson sheet and mounted on (3) album pages. It has a total of nine Postage Dues, six of them defaced with two horizontal bars, the other three—a pair of 4d and a single 1s—are overprinted "SCHOOL SPECIMEN". All are tied by handstamped c.d.s. "LPS/PHG Course/13/A/20 SP/60", with appropriate handstamped & manuscript markings. Lesson 5, consisting of seven parts, is on a large two-sided sheet, part 5 including 1d & 5d bar-defaced Postage Dues; again the lessons all having appropriate handstamps, Postal Service auxiliary labels and the same c.d.s., this time dated 20 Sep. Also includes a letter with interesting background info from Michael Furfie, author of the book, British Postage Due Mail, 1914-71. A most unusual, seldom seen group.
