2358   imageWorldwide, Mostly Unused Early Postal Card Accumulation, 1880s-1950s, a wide assortment of 600 unused postal stationery primarily from the 1880s to the early 1950s, with the great majority being early items housed in two older KaBe albums. Includes postal cards, Message-Reply cards, entires and some COD and formular cards. Strength in Germany, especially in the Third Reich illustrated cards and the immediate post-war period, as well as overprinted German Occupied areas. Good variety of British Commonwealth cards primarily from the Victorian period. Nice grouping of Central and South America and European countries such as Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, Denmark and Austria. Also thrown in are about 84 Iceland and Greenland QSL cards, equally split between the two countries. Most cards are Very Fine with no discoloration. Includes many covers with Postage Due stamps, 'T', 'Zuruck' or 'Returned to Sender' markings with the accompanying instructional markings. Truly a worldwide selection with no country or region dominating, and made up of a good mix of covers, postal stationery cards and postcards. Some very interesting well-travelled items such as an unclaimed returned Germania postal card sent from Stuttgart to Cairo, another German item sent to Jamaica, New York, then re-directed and eventually unclaimed and returned. Postage Dues from Italy, France, Canada, Switzerland, Belgium, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Austria, UK and US. A fascinating lot for those who are interested in this type of Postal History. Condition runs the gamut from Very Fine to very worn as is typical for these well-travelled covers.
