Includes many multiples on cover, uprated postal cards Registered, Express mail, Official mail, censors, currency censors, COD, Parcel Post receipt cards. Most items are non-philatelic. 2269   imageGermany, Germany Post-WWI & Inflation Period Postal History Accumulation, 1920-23, About 500 covers, postal cards and postcards housed in five albums and loose and on pages. The time range for this group is immediate post-war 1920 to the end of the inflation period in November 1923. Stamp issues range from National Assembly issues, Deutsches Reich-overprinted Bavarian issues, and Germanias in the early 1920s to mixed uses with the Posthorn, Numeral and Workers issues. Includes single to multiple franking examples. As it approaches 1923 there are larger multiple and overprinted issues with covers with billion-mark issues. Includes many multiple frankings, uprated postal cards Registered, Express mail, Official mail, currency censors, and COD and Parcel Post receipt cards. One album has over 100 "Gebuhr Bezhalt' (No stamps) covers mostly dated in later 1923. Most items are domestic and some European destinations, but a significant part of the lot is a correspondence to Italy which includes some larger 'Printed Matter' rate items and a large Registered cover with perfin multiples. Worthy of a detailed review as some of the rates for this period were only possible for a very few days, so a knowledgeable expert will be able to see some possible 'finds'. Most covers are generally sound though some of the items sent to Italy are in rough condition, also there are items with stamps missing and filing punch holes. Should be an attractive lot for novice or expert alike, especially at the very reasonable estimate. Shipping charges apply - weight 21.2 lbs.
