2257   imageGerman Area, Germany WWI & German-Occupied Areas Postal History Accumulation, Over 500 covers, postal cards and postcards housed in six cover albums as well as some loose items. The albums contain mostly stampless military mail on printed Feldpost cards, letter cards, even a turned cover. Significant postmark interest as the mail appears to have been sent to and from many of the areas where war was taking place. The Feldpost cards include a wide variety of town markings, numbered Feldpost cancels, censor markings, battalion units, some ship mail, and returned mail. Among the loose items are some small groups of occupied Poland, Belgium, Ukraine, and Denmark. There is an interesting group of 20+ original photographs showing scenes of damage and destruction and other military scenes of occupied Belgium. Also, some interesting military postcards including a group of 58 color postcards depicting soldiers, war scenes and occupied towns and villages. Condition is as to be expected for material from this period with an occasional faulty item. Great lot for somebody interested in expanding an existing collection as well as an opportunity for a novice with time to spend to research the different cancels and military markings. 2258   imageGerman Area, Stampless to Modern Eclectic Postal History Accumulation, Over 1,000 covers and cards with an eclectic group of items housed in four cover albums and with loose items. There is a large album with about 120 stampless Official mail from early to late 1800s. An album with about 100 oval train (TPO) cancels from the late 1800s to 1960. A small box with about 100 early well-worn banknotes. A handful of illustrated Third Reich postal cards. Two albums with some loose in a box; the first album has about 100 covers from Bavaria and Germany 1890s to about 1924; the other album has about 85 perfins on cover from the period 1920-24. Both these albums and the loose items are all addressed to Italy and appear to be part of an original Banking correspondence, many of these are in rough condition but most are salvageable. Last but not least is a box of over 650 covers from the 1950s to 1980s just about equally distributed from Germany, Berlin and DDR. Many of these have very interesting frankings and were sent to more uncommon destinations such as Sweden, Australia, Mozambique and Canada. There are some philatelic items such as First Day Covers, Maiden Voyages and other special events with some duplication in this group but the majority are interestingly franked usages. This group includes many multiples on cover, uprated postal cards Registered, Express mail, and Parcel Post receipt cards. No items appear to be of very high value but are attractive enough to be able to fetch a few dollars each at a Stamp Show or on the internet. Condition of this group seems to be Fine-Very Fine with no condition issues. Hard to properly describe such a lot, so if the above description and the images do not suffice please inspect. An excellent opportunity for somebody with an entrepreneurial spirit. Shipping charges apply - weight 22 lbs.
