1d red Die I ACSC 2 (SG 2) with Prominent 'Tin Shed' Flaw most pronounced at upper-left but affecting the entire stamp,
well-centred, light Victoria machine cancel leaving most of the variety clear, unlisted in the ACSC. 'Tin-Shed' Flaws - refering to the King's Warehouse, Flinders Street Extension, Melbourne where the Commonwealth Stamp Printer was located - are the
result of gum adhering to the printed side of the stamp, the design printed on these areas appearing as a void after the stamps were soaked. These are most commonly encountered on KGV 1d reds printed in 1917-18, and are unusual on Penny Kangaroos. It
is possible but unlikely that this is actually an example of a Printed on the Gummed Side variety. (Image1) (Image2)
