Camp", British censor label, unusually also with Japanese censor label tied to the reverse by Japanese cds, censor handstamp in rosine & han of Matsui in scarlet, endorsed "Received 21.2.45", with the brief enclosure also with the censor marks on the

in Geneva to a British soldier at "Mukden Camp", Mukden arrival cds of 20.5.8 (8.5.1945), censor in violet & han of Murata in scarlet plus '.../82' cachet of unknown purpose in rosine, minor blemishes, characteristic folds. The Japanese had provided

text endorsed "Taiwan Prisoners' Camp", superb strike of 'SERVICE DES/PRISONNIERS DE GUERRE' cachet in red, the reverse with camp censor in violet & han of Hioki in scarlet, to Wiltshire with superb British censor in rosine, redirected on arrival to
Hampshire, minor blemishes & creased at lower-left. The sender was a Major so he was probably at Camp 4, which was a camp for senior officers.

TAIWAN: 1943 (July 8) Japanese Occupation Taichu Prisoner of War Camp (Camp Number 2), cover from London to "Taiwan Camp" with
British censor label, directed to Camp "2" in red pencil, faint censor in violet with han in scarlet, pencilled "22.6.44" receival on the reverse. Illustrated by David Tett in Volume 6 at page 357, and stated to be the only item recorded to Camp
Number 2. POWs worked on construction & maintenance projects. The camp was closed in mid-1944 after a tropical storm destroyed all local bridges.
