use in New England (NSW) apparently from a policeman with the Royal Party, the letter headed "Royal Train/Muswellbrook/30.11.34" states that "...the trip is getting near the end, but it's been a cracker...", Townsville Qld Police Station arrival

1/6d x2 tied by three superb strikes of the 'ROYAL TRAIN/ 10DE34/AUSTRALIA' cds then in use in Brisbane, roughly opened with a small fault at centre-left & repaired flap faults. On this day, the Duke cut a ribbon to inaugurate the first regular
airmail to England, then sailed for New Zealand on HMAS 'Australia'. A larger cover paid 1/6d x7 with several folds & a few other problems sold at our auction of 27.8.2024 for $552 (Sale 257 Lot 402). (Image1) (Image2)

Royal Navy Barracks Sydney stating "...This morning we had a visit by the Duke of Gloucester...His laugh is very squeaky...", Australian Clothing Ration Cards (both a bit worn: LOL!) for the Duke & his wife's lady-in-waiting plus her OHMS 'POST FREE'
Identity Card & her British '1942-43 Clothing Book', a few FDCs, 16.1.1947 return flight cover to GB with seven signatures, etc, generally fine to very fine.
