long-format envelope with very fine complete strike of the distinctive Wells 'REGISTERED' curved handstamp at upper-left, Bath transit and Trowbridge arrival backstamps of the next day, slightly truncated, small closed spike hole & edge fault clear
of the adhesives & markings. Graham Hayward states that this handstamp "was unique to Wells and this cover is one of only two recorded examples".
