1702: Barred Numeral '1702' of Gannon's Creek (1), largely very fine strike on Perf Diadems 5d deep green. Rated RRRRR. Not
illustrated by Hugh Freeman. RO 1.2.1891; PO 1.3.1893; closed 11.8.1900. The '2' is a bit unclear but it can't be '1703' because that '3' has a flat top. It also can't be '1706' or '1708' because those numerals are only 5mm high, compared to 7mm
here. '1709' is unrecorded but would also have 5mm numerals.** NUMERALS COLLECTOR ROBERT GEDDES HAS PROVIDED A MORE COMPLETE STRIKE FOR COMPARISON, FROM WHICH WE CAN CONFIRM THE IDENTIFICATION ** (Image1)
