1897-99 QV Diamond Jubilee 1d carmine-pink (aniline) Arms Die II marginal block of 4 from the base of the sheet with the right-hand
pair Imperforate Three Sides, folded along the base of the stamps in anticipation of manual separation before the owner had a change of heart with just a small tear at right clear of the design, large-part gum. Ex Henry Frenkle. RPSL Certificate
(1972) peculiarly states "one comb beat omitted". This error is not listed for the 1897 issue. It is listed under the 1899 issue but printed in scarlet (SG 300a, Cat £1200+ for a block of 4), which this most assuredly is not. (Image1) (Image2)

REVENUES: 1885 lengthy 'Assignment' of Property on vellum with superb colourless embossing of 'ONE/POUND' on Prussian blue paper
cut-square with wide margins affixed & secured by a foil 'staple', behind it an imperf 2nd Type Cypher Label affixed across the staple (see Peck & Smith at page 35), executed by "Daniel Cooper" and his signature notarised, with the duty paid on the
face by fiscal usage of British Lilacs & Greens 1/- tied by the notary's blue seal. In 1856, at the age of only 35, Sir Daniel Cooper was appointed the first Speaker of the new NSW Legislative Assembly. He amassed huge property interests in the
Colony & these are recorded in this document. He became one of the most prominent of the early philatelists and, in 1869, was elected the first President of the Philatelic Society of London. (Image1) (Image2)
