OVERPRINTED THIN 'OS': 1891-1902 QV Perkins Bacon Broad Star Wmk Perf 11½-12½ 1/- sepia with Large Holes with Double Overprint SG
O33a variant, GPO duplex cancel, Cat £1200+ for a normal used double overprint. Superb. There are actually three impressions of the overprint, one complete, one 95% complete at the top, and a 50% strike at the base. The upper and lower impressions
are from what was probably the initial overprint that was significantly misplaced. Gary Diffen recorded only two examples of the 'standard' Double Overprint: his example sold for £540. (Image1) (Image2)

issued. Don Pearce's mint duo sold for $14,675 (Sale 249 Lots 1513 & 1514). (2) (Image1) (Image2)
