1905-12 QV Crown/A Watermark De La Rue 1d imperforate plate proof block of 4 in aniline rosine on ungummed unwatermarked Vertically
Laid Paper, margins good to large, with manuscript "16" at the base and magnificent central strike of the rare 'GLENBURNIE' squared-circle with the date slugs removed. Glenburnie (2) opened 13.8.1900; closed 31.3.1904. The squared circle is recorded
AP15/03 to JY7/03 only & is rated RRRR. This is a very rare posthumous usage and is the strike illustrated by the PSSA. Ex John Bell (Adelaide): sold at our auction of 14.11.2014 for $522 (Sale 198 Lot 2031). This and the previous lot were written up
by John Bell as "cancellation trials". They remain the only examples known to us. The ACSC (2023) does not record any proofs for this issue.

base of the upper pane Imperforate between the Stamps & the Gutter ACSC S35ba, Adelaide cds of MR23/07, Cat $3000+ for singles. Ex William Frazer, the right-hand pair from his rejoined strip of 4, being the only recorded examples, and Gary Diffen:

1906-12 QV De La Rue Tall Stamps Thick 'POSTAGE' Crown/A Watermark Perf 11 3d pale olive-green SG 298e corner block of 4 from the
lower-right of the sheet, the lower units with an Additional Row of Horizontal Perfs Misplaced above the Value Tablet and Corrected with Another Line of Perf 11 ACSC S37b, some minor perf separation/reinforcing, Cat $9000+ for singles (£4800+ for
normal singles). Ex Rev James Mursell and Don Pearce: sold for $4550 (Sale 249 Lot 1412). Only four such blocks were recorded, but the ACSC illustrates a lower pair, indicating that at least one of the blocks has been broken-up. Absent from the
Michael Blake, 'Besancon' and Gary Diffen collections. Ed Williams' two normal mint singles sold for $1415 and $2265 respectively.

of the sheet comprising two horizontal strips of 3 Imperforate Between and at Left S52bb (SG 302aa), light vertical bend across the central units, ink-stain on the reverse at lower-left just shows through the face, Cat $10,000+ (£13,000+), for two
strips of 3. One of the great error pieces of the early Federal Period. The ACSC records only this block of 6 and a strip of 3 but Gary Diffen noted a second strip that is "badly toned". His strip of 3 - also with light vertical bend - sold for
