275c), two strikes of 'PT DARWIN/DE11/03/SA' squared-circle cancels, Cat $1750 (£1200). Although often regarded as an error, the bicolour stamps are from the initial run of the first printing. During the print-run, the colour discrepancy was noted

the upper unit with Misplaced 'POSTAGE' & 'THREE PENCE', the lower unit with 'POSTAGE' Omitted ACSC S19c/ca (SG 280a; Cat £4500), well-centred, full unmounted gum, Cat $6000+ for singles. Superb. One of the most outstanding errors of the Tall Stamps
and of State-Period Commonwealth of Australia. Chris Ceremuga Certificate (2015) states "Great rarity...there were only ten examples of the POSTAGE Omitted error", most of which are in blocks of 4 or larger. The ACSC states "One sheet ... showed the
overprint plate misplaced upwards 4½mm ... The lower row is without 'POSTAGE' at all". Gary Diffen's block of 4 sold for £3840. (Image1)
