1870-71 QV Perkins Bacon Perf 10 '3-PENCE' in Black on 4d Prussian blue SG 93a, unusually well-centred, ironed-out creasing at
upper-right which is not evident from the face, part-GPO cds, Cat £1000. RPSV Certificate (2009) does not mention the creasing. This is a stamp that is rarely available. The colour is considerably lighter than the '3-PENCE' on 4d Perf 11½-12½ SG 66 -
see Lot 345 above - and neither stamp is anything like the various 6d Prussian blues, so we must rely on the certificate to be correct.
