 1970-75 Floral Coils 7c Sturt's Desert Pea SG 468b block of 4 ACSC 535b from the left of the sheet with huge sheet margin,
unusual-pattern machine cancellation with 'KING STREET/19NOV71/VIC 3000' datehead, large-part gum with small perf reinforcing, Cat $1200+ for two horizontal pairs. The ACSC states "At least four blocks of 4 (some now divided into horizontal pairs)
are known ..." Since their discovery, there has been debate about the status of these coil oddities: our belief is that an uncut sheet, or part of a sheet was used for cancellation trials, that seem to have been unsuccessful because we have no other

644b, also Weak '8c' Retouched [Pos 7/2] ACSC 644ga, one unit on the right-hand side of the sheet with a tiny aging mark, unmounted, under-catalogued at $800+ for singles. The ACSC states that "A vertical block of 20 stamps from the left of the sheet
is recorded showing additional misplaced perforations in the selvedge which encroach on 8 marginal stamps to varying degrees". This is presumably only the second recorded example of the perforation error. (Image1) (Image2)
