Perkins Bacon imperforate plate proofs 1d in pale carmine on glazed ungummed thin card ACSC 70PP(2)B lower-right quarter-sheet of
30 (6x5) from Pane IV with 'Jubilee Lines' below the lower six units, enormous margins at right & at base and virtually complete gutter at left, with Thin 'G' of 'POSTAGE' [IV/40], a very early state of Small White Dot on 'Y' of 'PENNY' (Pregnant
'Y') [IV/41], and Large Colour Flaw outside Right Frame opposite Emu which was partially corrected before printing [Pos IV/46], a few very minor blemishes, Cat $18,750+ for singles. An important piece: the ACSC states that "probably one sheet was

(3x2) plated as [Pos VI/3-5/9-11] and [Pos V/4-6/10-12 plus 16-17], and two blocks of 6 (2x3) one plated as from Pane VI the other unplated, some shade interest, condition a little variable as noted but most are fine to very fine lightly mounted or

untidy central 'REGISTERED/[1]7JY[1]4A/SYDNEY, NSW' cds cancel (the two '1's are either missing or very lightly struck), the left-hand units with a light vertical bend. 17.7.1914 is the First Day of Issue in Sydney & Melbourne (this is the same cds
as on the FDC illustrated at page 64); in footnote 2 the ACSC catalogues loose stamps bearing that date at $1250 each. Ex David Adams.
