MALAY STATES - SELANGOR: 1881 Crescent & Star/'S' in Oval Handstamp in red on Straits Settlements Crown/CA Wmk 2c brown, quite
well-centred, small repaired tear at base & some mostly minor soiling, hinge remainder, unlisted by Gibbons but priced £425 in the note above SG 1 (ISC 1a; Cat MR$2500). Gibbons state that this issue "may have been produced for sale to collectors";
the ISC states that "it may be that it was a trial prepared for use but not issued". Chris Ceremuga Certificate (2024) states "hinged original gum".

to Penang with 4s horizontal pair tied by Third Anniversary of the Fall of Singapore pictorial cds in violet (used 15-21 Feb 1945 only), Japanese boxed censor handstamp in violet with '26' in circle cachet on the face, a couple of minor blemishes.
