841 F image1901-10 'POSTAGE' V/Crown (W85) Watermark Perf 12½ KEVII £2 blue ACSC V135 (SG 400), very well centred, light but legible framed 'TONGIO WEST/VIC' cds (date unclear), grossly under-catalogued at $500 (£300, for CTO). A very rare postally used example, from a gold parcel, and the first we have recorded from the tiny settlement of Tongio West, near Swift's Creek in the Victorian Alps. In our experience, there are more than 100 mint or CTO examples for each postally used stamp. (Image1)

842 nh image1901-10 'POSTAGE' V/Crown (W85) Watermark 1½d dull red-brown/yellow Mixed Double Perforations at Top creating an Irregular Compound Perf 11x12x12½x12 ACSC V56 (SG 411) being the upper unit in a marginal vertical pair from the right-hand side of the sheet, hinge remainders in the right margin only, the stamps both unmounted, Cat $2000+ (£3000+) for mounted. The original Perf 12½ row at top was misplaced and was corrected with a Perf 11 row immediately below. The ACSC states that this variety "affected the top rows of at least two sheets. The recorded examples comprise the top row of an upper left corner block of 8 [with the Perf 11 row above the Perf 12½ row], the upper stamp in a vertical pair [this item, with the Perf 11 row below the Perf 12½ row] and a single [perf positions unknown]".
