 NON PLADUK (CAMP NUMBER 1): 1943 (Sep 9) Japanese POW postal card with minimal address details & endorsed "No 1 POW Thailand", han
of Suzuki & British censor both in rosine, the two layers of the card separated to reveal a small triangular piece of tissue paper on which Captain Rogers had inscribed a 133-word message in micro-writing that he had secreted between the layers, some
damage from removing the message, all three pieces with a plastic laminate. RPSL Certificate (2017). To avoid detection by the Japanese but alert his wife, Rogers added to the printed text 'Please see that ["Dextra, low, family"] are taken care of'.
In Latin, dextra = on the right, low indicated the lower-right segment. A remarkable and likely unique item from WWII. See David Tett Volume 3 at page 75 and illustrated in Volume 6 at page 354. With a typed transcript of the message. The
illustration above is at 200% actual size!

 UNKNOWN CAMP: 1945 (Aug 30) makeshift envelope with letter headed ".../Royal Artillery/Prisoner of War/Thailand", to Lancashire
with faint Indian-pattern censor '127' cachet in violet applied at Rangoon & secured in transit with a small piece of British resealing tape, a bit banged-up. The writer states "...We are in a compound 20km from Bangkok. The people in Siam are being
very good to us..." Also the telegram he sent from Rangoon & covering roneo'd letter advising the telegram was sent free of charge & the same privilege would be afforded for a reply.
