datestamp in violet (Proud 'NS' = Not Seen) with small boxed 'R' handstamp in violet endorsed "UPS/E45", 'BASE PO 5 MD/013' and 'PERTH' transits and Sydney arrival backstamps, a few edge faults & repaired upper-left corner. Location unknown: the only
Eastern Command 'E'-prefix UPS datestamp that Haynes definitively lists as used in WA is E105 in early August 1942 with 2 Aust Div 8 Bde at Chidlow, replaced from mid-August by Field Post Office 037 cds. This suggests that others may have been in use

priority' on the face both in red, a couple of minor edge faults. POW mail was free. However, if sent by air, the airmail surcharge was required.
