402 oversize cover image1934 (Dec 10) oversize envelope (253x190mm) airmail to England with 1/6d Hermes x7 tied by four largely very fine strikes of 'ROYAL TRAIN/AUSTRALIA' cds with another very fine strike below, light folds & edge faults including a closed tear affecting one stamp & repaired lower-right corner. The rate was 1/6d per ½oz airmail letter x7 for an item weighing up to 3½oz. Posted at Brisbane, the day the touring party departed for New Zealand aboard HMAS 'Australia'. Usages other than in Tasmania are rare. (Image1) (Image2)

Fiji was added to the trans-Pacific schedule in -.11.1941 but the service was suspended after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on 7.12.1941. 420 c image1959 (Oct 7) registered to Adelaide with QEII 4d lake booklet pane of 6 (ACSC 354; Cat $300 on cover) tied by 'PT AUGUSTA' (SA) cds, blue/white R label, taxed with 'T'-in-oval handstamp endorsed "10d" in pencil and "Received in Private Bag" in pen, Adelaide arrival backstamp, a few aging marks. The rate was 5d domestic letter + 2/- registration fee (increased on 1.10.1949 from 1/3d). Only the registration fee had been paid, so double the letter-rate deficiency was charged.
