label & cachet at left but 'NOT TRANSMISSIBLE/SERVICE SUSPENDED' handstamp in violet on face & reverse, Sydney Dead Letter Office '10AP42' cds & 'RETURN TO/SENDER' Fickle-Finger cachet both in red. Singapore had fallen on 15.2.1942, causing
suspension of flights.

cds and 'CALIFORNIA/CLIPPER' handstamp struck in black at lower-right, censored with Sydney label & cachets, light vertical fold clear of the adhesives & markings, a few minor blemishes. The rate for 'two ocean' carriage by PanAm Pacific & Atlantic
Clippers was 5/10d per ½oz x3 = 17/6d. A very scarce usage of the 10/- on a small cover.

1946 (Dec 1) cover from Sydney to a surgeon aboard "HMHS Empire Clyde/BPF Mail Office/co GPO Fremantle" apparently intercepted at
the British Fleet Mail Office in Sydney where readdressed to "Aitken Spence/Colombo" with a British airmail label & additional Mitchell 2½d x7 affixed & tied by Sydney cds of 24DE46, on arrival at Colombo again re-addressed to England. [The Hospital
Ship 'Empire Clyde' arrived Sydney 9.12.1945, departed 11.12.1946, arrived Fremantle 23.12.1946, departed soon after, arrived Colombo 4.1.1947 & departed the next day, missing arrival of this letter]

1950s-70s Queensland OHMS illustrated publicity envelopes all-different group promoting tourism, industry, investment, insurance &
road safety for a range of government departments, almost all used noted one unstamped & taxed with Postage Due 10d affixed, another airmail to Scotland with 2/3d Games solo, mostly domestic but with a few airmail to the UK, USA & Canada at rates up
to 2/3d or 25c, some 'PAID' cancels or meters, thematic interest, some opened on three sides but generally fine to very fine. Ex Woodchip-Free Zone (Rod Perry).

purple applied at Toronto, manuscript conversion to "T 1/8d", the reverse with Postage Dues 2d block of 6 plus Queen Mother 2d & 6d Kookaburra tied by 'CUMNOCK/24NO52/ NSW-AUST' cds proving carriage by air. A wonderful combination franking with the
QM 2d & 6d Kookaburra used in lieu of Postage Dues.

Whistler tied by 'NEWCASTLE/NSW-AUST' cds with blue/white R label alongside, Melbourne arrival backstamp of the next day, minor transmission marks. An early example in the first week after decimalisation on 14.2.1966. The 5d converted to the 4c
Decimal letter rate plus 20c registration fee.

for Orlando Wines confirming order, minor opening faults & file holes not affecting the face, plus 20.12.1966 usage of Perth Empire Games 10d Aerogramme to USA also with QEII 1c brown added, minor blemishes. The Pre-Decimal/Decimal combination
franking was necessary because the rate was 9c and 10d converted to only 8c.
