1d red Plate 2 with Thin 'G' of 'POSTAGE' [Pos IV/40] ACSC 71(2)l being the lower-left unit in a block of 6 (3x2), the adjoining unit at right with Small White Dot on 'Y' of 'PENNY' [Pos IV/41] ACSC 71(2)m and the
two units above being prior to the development of the Rusted Cliché Flaws [Pos IV/34-35], well-centred, one complete & three partial light 'BLAIR ATHOL/15FEB15/ QUEENSLAND' cds cancels, minor perf reinforcing, Cat $270+ for the two varieties & four
'normal' singles.
A very scarce used multiple, and an important dated piece: the Left Plates were used from June 1914 to June 1915 and then put into storage - during which the Rusted Cliché Flaws are believed to have developed - not being used again until
November-December 1916, when their damaged state led to them being quickly substituted.
