1982 O imageFOUR ANNAS: Selection on Julie Marshall's exhibit pages with singles x4 (two from the 1901-07 printings released in 1917), a horizontal Tete-Beche Pair [53-54], blocks of 4 9 & 15, and from the Third State a block of 39 (8x4, missing the lower-right unit) with horizontal Tete-Beche Pair [53-54] & unit [56] being a heavily over-inked blob of colour, generally very fine, Cat £2500+ (US$2400+).

1983 # imageFOUR ANNAS: 4a bright green SG 41 Setting 12 complete sheet of 64 with large sheet margins, Pos [8] is the 1a Error of Colour which is also Inverted! SG 41b creating a horizontal Tete-Beche Pair [7-8 ](F&V 18ca), Unit [56; the 'Blob of Colour] has also been substituted & is also inverted creating a horizontal Tete-Beche Pair [55-56], in addition [54] & [57] are inverted creating a further two Tete-Beche Pairs, Unit [57] stained from a large paper inclusion otherwise very fine to superb unused, Cat £3650++ (US$5800++). Richard Frajola's corner pair [7-8] sold for US$501. [Note: Gibbons list the Error of Colour, but they neither list nor price it in a tete-beche pair]

1985 nh image1941-46 Local Printings First Printing 2p bright yellow-green Error of Colour SG 57a complete sheet of 40 (4x10) with marginal inscriptions at the sides & an additional full-width line of perforations at the base apparently to allow for removal from a book of sheets as indicated by staple-holes at the base, folded in the upper margin for display & a few minor blemishes but most units are very fine to superb, full unmounted original gum, Cat £450++; plus 1950s ungummed sheets of 40 (4x10) comprising 2p brown on Laid Paper with inscriptions on both sides, 2p lake-brown on Wove Paper with inscriptions at left only, and 8p scarlet on Wove Paper with inscriptions at right only, some minor imperfections, Cat £160++.

1992 c image1901 local cover with an Imperf 1a blue with Recut Frames SG 26 (margins good to large) tied to the face by a largely very fine strike of Kathmandu's hexagonal character-in-bars cancel, fine part-strike of Kathmandu cds of -.11.1901 on the reverse, vertical fold & a little aged. The catalogues state the Recut 1a was issued in '1901'. The earliest recorded usage is from -.10.1901, making this one of the earliest covers recorded. [Hellrigl & Hepper state at page 10 "Strikes [of the cancel] are rarely clear. It is often impossible to determine whether the outlines are circular or hexagonal"]

1994 c image1905 cover with an Imperf 1a blue with Recut Frames SG 26 (Stg 26 ?, with framelines very clear; margins good to large) tied to the reverse by a fine strike of Dhankuta's character-in-bars cancel with intaglio cds of Dhankuta alongside with manuscript date of 15.6.1905, almost fine Kathmandu arrival cds of -.11.1901 on the reverse, stained from the envelope adhesive. [In the centre is a manuscript notation "// 74 //" in Devanagari numerals. This warns that an unauthorised person who opens the letter would commit a sin equal to the slaughter of 74 sacred cows!]
