1844-O
Doubled Date G+ w/ a few surface abrasions mostly on the rev. Bowers notes that in an era where there were many errors made at the mint, this was one of the most egregious. The date doubling shows clearly and the coin is acceptable for this scarce
variety. (Image) (imageb)

1852-O G+
by wear but the coin has an unnatural "shine" and there is a 1½ mm gouge in Liberty's cap. 1852-O is a very scarce date in the Liberty Seated series. (Image) (imageb)

1855-S
Arrows technically G+ by overall wear, but harshly impaired. Still discernable making it perhaps suitable for a very scarce date in the series. Bowers has labeled these "rare" in the circulated grades. (Image) (imageb)

1866-S No
Motto VG. The motto "In God We Trust" was added to the larger coins in 1866, but at the San Francisco Mint, the first 60,000 halves (out of a total mintage of just over a million pieces) lacked the motto. Bowers considers these rare in any grade. (Image) (imageb)

1871-CC
VF+ w/ a few marks and a hairline patch over a repaired area at K6 on the rev. An extremely scarce Carson City issue. From a mintage of 153,950 Bowers estimates that only 375 to 450 remain extant today, mostly with extensive wear. The present coin,
though not perfect for the grade, has excellent detail and is still very appealing. (Image)

1872-CC
Good. A beautiful original example of this issue. Scarce and popular, Bowers estimates about 1,200 remain from a mintage of 257,000 many with problems. Expect spirited bidding the this one. (Image) (imageb)

1874-CC
AG original. Only 59,000 minted making it one of the scarcest CC's as only 375 to 450 remain. The present coin has no issues other than extensive wear. Bidding should be strong for this lot. (Image) (imageb)

1882 AG.
By the mid-1870s, the price of silver had fallen low enough to result in millions of previously-hoarded silver coins to flood back to the channels of commerce. This resulted in the virtual cessation of newly-minted quarters and half dollars from 1879
thru 1890. The 1882 half is a very scarce issue with only 4,400 minted, and is much more likely to be found in mint state as opposed to circulated. The present coin is in an unusually low-grade specimen of 1882, made all the more appealing because it
is perfectly original w/ no damage other than wear. (Image) (imageb)
