The 8r
Black on Green were printed in parallel to the 8r Black on Brown to combat the illegal use of splits from six larger districts and sent only to those. However, at the end of the issue, with the central post office in disarray, the small balance of
the 8r Green stamps on hand was sent in small amounts to 16 other districts including Mazatlan. All those are rarities. (Image1)

This is one of the only two splits covers known from
