3432       California Townmark Collection, 1940-60's. About 375 #6 envelopes, all addressed to Owen Wade, former postmaster of Colton, Oregon, most bearing small town handstamps such as four-bars or duplexes, but a very few machine cancels, cancel dates range between the late 40's into the mid 60's, and many are PM-signed last day usages, mostly different but also some duplicates. Many are "recent" discontinued post offices, such as Copco, Corriganville, Death Valley Junction, Linnell, Loftus, Minersville, stations are also represented, such as Agua Caliente Springs, Aranbee, Big Basin, Briceland, Fernbridge, Gorman, Iowa Hill, Nipinnawassee, McKinleyville, Miracle Hot Springs, Olinda, Pulga, Sawyers Bar, there are no issues of condition.

3441       (Expositions) Brockton (Mass.) Fair Postal History Collection. A wonderful collection of picture postcards, illustrated ad covers and a host of other ephemera items neatly displayed and written-up in two large binders; with approximately 180 picture postcards illumination various aspects of the fair as well and a series of beautiful women and horse illustrated advertising cards (lithos. from artist Chas. W. Holmes) and other related, includes real-photo card of President Taft visiting the fair in 1911 with other Taft related cards including additional visit to the fair in 1912, host of birds-eye view of the fair, Equestrian related views including horse races, real-photo parade views, nice section of Knabenshue's Airship and Grahme-White Biplane cards including scarce real-photos, also 1909 & 1910 balloon ascension cards, etc., covers mostly fair adverting from 1892 on including patriotic with flag (endorsed "Balloon"), unused postal wrapper, Columbian entires and illustrated horse & horse racing related advertising cover from 1899 on through to 1919 (some unused), ephemera items including scores of contemporary newspaper articles, tickets, fair books, early photographs depicting trapeze artists, etc.; a wonderful collection and ideal for further continuation.
